    Frequently Asked Questions

How does a 7-day trial work?

We offer a 7-day trial for all New users who haven’t chosen any Paid plans yet. You could switch to another plan to try the Trial while discovering the Trial for your current chosen plan, but the trial days will be saved on our timer, so the trial will not reset after 7 days.

After 7 days, based on the user's current plan, Transcy will send data to Shopify including the Price of plan that user has chosen with the Trial. Shopify will check and process the charge automatically on their end. User start using the app with their chosen plan officially and get monthly/yearly app charge according to Shopify system.

What are the differences of Edit and Non-Edit languages?

Non-edit language which uses google.translate.js (AI) to translate your website automatically when visitor change language by switcher on store-front. It is unable to edit the translation for Non-edit languages and unconfigurable with Shopify market.

Edit language: which uses source from Shopify so you can control, manage the translation manually in the app of all pages including the checkout page.

    Which pages can Transcy translate?

Transcy can translate all pages of your Shopify store: Homepage, Product page, Collection page, Checkout page, includes Store theme, Shop Meta Title & Description, Blog groups, etc,...

How to support multi currency checkout in Transcy?

Unlike other normal pages such as the Product page, Homepage, and cart page, we only support multi currency checkout for merchants who use Shopify Payments on the checkout page.

If you use Shopify Payment and have already added all target currencies to your Shopify Payment, Transcy switcher will allow your customers to pay in their local currency at the checkout page.

What will I be charged when I upgrade/downgrade from lower to higher plan in Transcy?

At the moment, we are using Shopify Payment system. So all charges are modified via Shopify.

    1/ Upgrading

In this case, when you upgrade from a LOWER to a HIGHER plan, the charge is prorated based on the difference in price and the number of days remaining in the billing cycle according to Shopify Policy.

    For example:

You begin a 30-day billing cycle on a GROWTH plan, which is $29.9, and then upgrade to an PREMIUM plan, which is $59.9 plan on day 10 of the billing cycle.

    => You'd be charged ($59.9 - $29.9) * ((30-10)/30) = $20 (+ $29.90 of Growth plan at the begin of the app billing cycle).

    2/ Downgrading

    - Monthly plans: According to Shopify "When you downgrade your plan by moving from a more expensive charge to a less expensive charge, you're automatically offered an application credit based on the difference in price and the number of days remaining in the billing cycle. This application credit can be used towards any future application purchase on Shopify."

    - Annual plan: If you switch from an annual plan with a higher price to an annual plan with a lower price, or from an annual plan to a 30 day plan, then the charge for the new plan is deferred until the current plan's subscription cycle is complete. For example, if you begin an annual subscription plan in January, but switches to a 30 day plan in September, then the new 30 day plan will start when the annual plan expires in January of the next year. Shopify has stated this rule here.
