“What keeps a product helping merchants grow, not just in month one, but year after year?”
A student asked us this last Friday. And we believe it’s also the question that every merchant like you quietly asks before trusting an app with your store. The answer, we’ve found, has less to do with a crowded roadmap and more to do with staying close to what you actually need.
Products last when they’re built around merchant outcomes
It’s easy to mistake activity for progress. A team can ship constantly and feel productive without ever asking whether the work moved a merchant closer to a sale.

A product earns its place over the long term only when every improvement is measured against a real outcome. A store that converts in a new market. A checkout a shopper trusts. Growth that a merchant can actually feel. That standard is what keeps building honesty.
Keeping that value alive: listen, reflect, improve
Staying useful isn’t a one-time achievement. It comes from a steady rhythm of listening to the merchants we serve, reflecting honestly on what’s working and what isn’t, and channeling that back into features built around your growth.
It also means being willing to hear that something missed, and to adjust. This is how we stay invested for the long game, growing the product alongside the merchants who rely on it.

Staying sharp also means staying open to new perspectives, including the people who will build what comes next. That’s part of why FireGroup, the brand behind Transcy, runs its Company Tour, opening our doors to the next generation of engineers.
In this visit, we welcomed nearly 50 students from the Faculty of Information Technology at the University of Science (HCMUS), one of Vietnam’s leading institutions in science and technology and home to some of the country’s most promising tech talent.
It’s a philosophy we hold closely, and one we were glad to share with them. Our thanks to the students from HCMUS for the sharp questions and real energy they brought, a reminder of why we build for the long term: not just how we do it, but why.
